2008: SAGE® in the Classroom.
SAGE was proud to roll out the second year of our unique "Educational Seasonings" program which teaches students about nutrition, different ingredients, cuisines and methods of preparation. These are special events that take place in the dining room after short complementary classroom modules developed for SAGE by private school educators. Educational Seasonings, by focusing on educating the whole child, has proven to be very popular with schools at all grade levels.

SAGE® Publishes Detailed Allergy Policy.
Concerned with the rise in food related allergies nationally, SAGE published a comprehensive "Allergy Resource Guide" prepared by our staff dietitians. This document, which details the latest understanding of the eight most common types of food allergies, is provided to our clients so they can be fully prepared should the issue arise. The guide also details how SAGE's programs offer all students, including those with allergies, safe and plentiful choices every day.

Sustainability at SAGE®.
SAGE published a document for our clients outlining all of the aspects of our corporate commitment to sustainability. In it, SAGE reiterated our focus on fresh, locally sourced foods, our commitment to economic sustainability, paying fair wages, our commitment to education, our efforts to reduce waste and all of the many things we do on the corporate level to protect the environment. As a part of this effort, all SAGE locations are locating and qualifying local producers and vendors to help the local economy in the areas we serve.
