Catering Manager ~ College Food Service

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking an experienced catering manager for a college food service operation in Ripon, Wisconsin.  That means if you are passionate about delivering amazing catering events and you have the skills and experience to create these events in concert with our amazing chefs, then we want to see your resume.

Catering events can be simple or they can be complicated. But no matter what they are, they must be precise and as perfect as they can be.  We create exceptional dining experiences at every meal, every time, whether it is simple coffee service with bagels or a plated dinner for 400.
Candidates must have great client relationship skills and be extremely organized. Multi unit and prior campus dining management experience is preferred. This leader needs outstanding team building and management skills.

What you’ll do:
•    Meet with clients to plan events
•    Hire catering staff and mentor them
•    Set up, manage and tear down events
•    Aid in general location management under supervision of the GM
•    Handle all billing and follow-up
•    Work with the culinary team on catering guide
•    Ensure that the catering team is delivering SAGE's mission of creating exceptional dining experiences that delight the senses, inspire minds and foster community and lead them each and every day at every meal and catering event
•    Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills
•    Maintain HACCP standards and foster and safety focused environment
•    Develop strong client and customer relationships
•    Provide invoicing for events, order linens, etc. for events
•    Communicate clearly, professionally and effectively
•    Deliver budgeted financial results
•    Create a positive team environment
•    Follow and ensure SAGE standards and uphold SAGE mission

What you need:
•    Minimum three years hands-on catering experience
•    Convention center, conference services or large hotel experience is a plus
•    Culinary background a plus
•    Strong customer service skills
•    Knowledge of all things catering: setups, menu process, client meetings
•    Fluency in sanitation and safety standards
•    Planning and organizational proficiency
•    High energy, positive attitude and superior ethics
•    Dynamic get-it-done work ethic
•    Incredible work history and amazing references
•    Expert computer skills
