SAGE Dining Services® is seeking the following positions at a beautiful private school in Vancouver, BC: PREP COOKS

Qualified candidates should have prior knowledge of FIFO practices, positive communication skills and possess the ability to thrive in a busy, team oriented environment. Experience with large commercial kitchen equipment an asset but not required as training will be provided. Our back of house kitchen team also participates daily in serving our community the delicious meals we prepare.
*COVID ADDENDUM: We have a strict COVID protocol in place to keep staff and our community safe which include but may not be limited to the following – health questionnaire/daily forehead temperature checks taken/masks and or face shield to be worn during shifts and will be provided

Awesome Schedule:
Monday through Friday during the school year
Follows school year schedule recognizing all statutory holidays and long weekends
Summers off
Catering events may occur on the weekend or evenings, advance notice is given – catering cancelled until further notice

What you will do:
Follow from-scratch recipes
Follow all food and sanitation protocol in accordance with COVID-19 safe practices.
Wash cookware and dishware
Keep areas stocked and clean
Keep workspace clean and organized
Assist chefs with preparing meals
Show off your amazing customer services skills

What you will need
Positive and Can-do Attitude
Strong work ethic
Excellent references
Strong team work skills
Prior experience preferred
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
