SAGE was proud to participate in Maryvale Preparatory School's second annual Justice Advocacy Day observance on Wednesday, Feb. 2.
The theme of the JAD lunch is always hunger. SAGE prepared a simple lunch for the school community to remind students how abundant our food supply is, and how many people on our planet subsist on very meager amounts of nourishment each day.
Last year, we offered beans and rice. This year we served noodles and broth, a staple in many Asian cultures. In lieu of the usual trays of satisfying comfort foods, SAGE placed signage describing the deprivation that is all too common in communities around the world.
